I can’t believe I have already hit 25% of my goal!! Words cannot express how truly blessed I feel from all of the support I have received from my family and friends, both spiritually as well as financially. You guys rock! I have six more months until I leave, and I believe that is plenty of time to reach my financial goal of 70% (that is a little over $11,000) by December. Together we can do this!! Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).
With that being said, thank you to those who have already given and have helped get me to where I am today! It is because of you folks that I have been able to get the ball rolling so quickly! So, what is next for me? I am working hard during this preparation season of my life to get myself ready spiritually, as well as mentally, and physically. My amazing squad mates have just formed a pre-race reading group, which I am very excited about! Along with the stack of books I plan on reading before I depart in January, we will also be reading a handful of books together to prepare us spiritually and culturally for the journey ahead. I can see God pulling together a unique group of His beautiful children to go and be a blessing to the nations.
All in all, I am continuing my “normal” routine of trying to balance working hard, enjoying life with my family and friends, and continuing to get to know God more. I feel blessed every morning when I wake up and every evening I go to bed. God is great. And He is going to make these next six months be exactly what I need!!
