As mentioned in my last blog, my team struggled last month with conflict. At debrief I found myself occasionally comparing my team to other teams. “They are all best friends and get along great. Why can’t my team be like that?”
Almost immediately the Lord asked me a question: why did you come on the World Race?
I thought for a few minutes… I came to share God’s love with the world and to become more like Christ.
Aha. I get it now Lord. Conflict has a way of bringing up the not so godly things inside of me. The areas God wants to work on in me.
I did not come to make best friends. If that happens, GREAT! But that is not my purpose in being here. God strategically placed me on my team to become more like Christ. I may not always enjoy the packaging or the process, but I know I will love the end product.
