Only one week until I get on a plane for Georgia to share the love of Christ across the world for 11 months. I’m so excited, I can’t even begin to put it in words. People have been asking me quite often, “Why are you going on this trip?” My answer: Obedience.

Now, not everyone likes that answer. I’m sure it’d be much more appeasing to hear, “Oh, I want to travel and experience the world while I am young!!” or something along those lines, which don’t get me wrong, that’s definitely a desire- but it’s not the reason I am leaving my family, my friends, and my life behind for a year.

I’m being obedient to my spirit, to the desire that God has pressed upon my heart.  Have you ever wanted to do something so badly, so strongly, that it never leaves your heart? I’m sure there’s something that comes to mind, but instead of doing it, you choose to ignore the desire because that something, it seems too, “far fetched”, “unrealistic” or “not doable”… I think everyone has something they long to do or be, from the depths of their souls, but so often we convince ourselves we can’t do it… and until we do/become that something, I believe we will never be satisfied because that something  is what we were created for. Our spirits know it and confirm it constantly, but our logic negates it’s validity…

Well, this is my something…showing others the same love that radically transformed me from an angry, broken, unforgiving girl to who I am today…That’s my “something.” This is what I was created for. This is who God made me to be. So, when I say I’m doing this Mission out of obedience, it’s that I’m being obedient to who created me and what He created me to be. As long as I live outside of that, I will be searching for answers I will never get.

SO HERE IS MY WISH FOR YOU:

I pray that this year, you grow to walk in obedience of who you were created to be. I pray that your “something” becomes real. I pray that you have the courage to defy logic and let the desires in your heart become your reality. It’s scary, yea… but isn’t it worth it? So, I ask you, what is your “something” and what’s keeping you from walking as the person God designed you to be. Live 2015 with your soul satisfied because you’re walking through life as the person, in the calling, and with the purpose which you were created for.

With Love,

Andie
