Dear Friends and Family,
When I graduated from High School I had the next three years of my life planned out. I was going to go to a Bible College and study missions. However, when I actually tried to get this plan moving everything I did fell through, I was really confused, so I finally asked God what He wanted me to do and I really felt like He said “Don’t Go.” That same week I got online and applied for a couple of nanny positions. I was contacted right away by a family of 5 with three Autistic children. Working with this family has challenged me more than I ever thought it would. The amount of patience and compassion I have learned these past three years have prepared me so much for the next chapter of my life.
For the past few months I have felt God calling me to go onto the mission field, and when I stumbled upon the World Race promo video, I just knew that this is what I needed to do. The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries. The countries that I will be going to are: The Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Romania. We will be working with the local churches in each country and meeting the many different needs such as planting churches, working in orphanages, ministering to sex trafficking victims, and general humanitarian work while spreading the Gospel.
The next year of my life will be one of completely leaving all comforts behind and living solely dependent on God. I will not only need your support spiritually, but financially. I will need $16,242, and yes, I realize that number is seriously daunting, but our God is a God of great things! This will cover all of my necessary needs throughout my whole trip. In October, I am scheduled to attend a training camp for a week and I will need to meet my first deadline of $3,500 by September 26, 2014.
