It's inevitable. Even if they tell you it will most likely/probably/definitely never happen… It will happen. And it is survivable. You've trusted God so far. Why not trust Him now? It's just one more step outside your comfort zone. Listen: you stepped out of your comfort zone to surrender your life to Jesus, to surrender your life to ministry, to step into a mission (perhaps like the World Race). Now you're offered another chance to react with grace at another unexpected (really? is it really that unexpected?) change in plans. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

I'm just kiddin'! It's not hypothetical. I just survived my first team change on the Race. And it's okay. I'm actually really looking forward to the dynamic of my new team. My previous team was great, and a catalyst for intense and wonderful (albeit hard) growth. This new team seems very different, atmospherically-speaking, but still great. People full of challenging spiritual depth, uplifting and encourging servant's hearts, lighthearted humor, and new perspectives. I'm eager to dive into life with them.
