I wrote this poem quite some time ago. When I was so confused about my faith. But God would litterally get me out of bed to run at night and I'd just find him there every day. It was an incredibly amazing time, to litterally see the chains being broken off my life and begin to step into this new freedom. All the Glory to God.

I run through these streets ablaze
I remember a place where you and me once…
You took me by the hand and taught me to fly
You got me out of bed and showed me how not to die.
Away Away
The world was such a maze
Alone and shamed I knew for me it was no place.
The sky grew dark as I emerged reality,
no certain place between here and insanity.
This fear that creeps to my very soul,
but even now I know you're in control.
A splash of light ahead,
the wind racing me to the end,
I feel your GRACE,
A road less turbulent and I can make out your face
Away Away
I go where you lead me
There's shadow people up ahead
I sense their stare,
They can't believe im fighting back,
I RUN FULL THROTTLE,
you help me pass through the darkness,
UNSCRATCHED,
UNBRUISED,
UNHARMED,
Im stronger now my lungs fill with new air,
WITH NEW PASSION,
NEW STRENGTH,
NEW FAVOR,
NEW LIFE,
New roads up ahead,
New battles for destinies yet unsaid.
U anoint my head,
My cup runeth over,
Surely your goodness and mercy
will run next to me for the rest of my days.
Today I lace up the shoes of destiny
So many times I trip, slip, and fall,
bloody and bruised I raise my face to You,
So shamed cuz once again I didnt believe in You.
But you come to me and pick me up again,
Im full of dirt, guilt and shame,
You touch my face extend your hand towards me,
and tell me to try again.
We run together You and I,
You dress me in white,
You dress me in new robes,
You raise me higher than my enemies,
Your glory makes me GREAT!
They look and cant believe their eyes,
In this dirt paved road,
You take the small and make them WISE,
You take the weak and make them STRONG,
You take the mute and make them SHOUT,

There was a day when you woke me up and taught me to fly,
And your amazing grace showed me I could touch the sky.
