Here's One I wrote while In Joplin, Missouri last year.

A Visitor Among Us

by: Anabell Cardona

The presence of God walking the streets of Joplin,

Extending a hand to the needy, bringing rest to the weary.

Covering the lonely.

Bringing out smiles in the midst of devastation

Transforming the least into beacons of light,

illuminating radiance,

walls standing,

strong towers

The power of the Lord a covering for his children,

his loved,

his chosen,

Called out of the storm and into selfless action

for such a time as this.

The power of God,

a light on the darkest day.

Dirty faced children,

Smiles peering through loss they can't yet understand,

Still children,

They stare with curious blue eyes

at the strangers standing by.

"It's just our art project,"  mother says with paint on her face.

The elderly find renewed strength,

Thank their God for one more day,

Acknowledge the foundation on which they stand.

Houses standing perfectly,

they are the strong towers on this brand new day.

Walking Comfort,

Healing Hand,

Mighty Covering,

A visitor among us,

The first to rescue,

Peace in chaos,

Author and Finisher,

Perfecter in Chaos.

Let it be known he is always standing

and those who dwell in the Shelter of the Most High,

will rest in the Shadow of the Almighty.

They will be magnets for His Supernatural covering,

and for the love he has for all of his children.
