Before leaving on the Worldrace, I thought I knew what I was doing after. I was going to go to Brazil to teach English. I was pretty set in my direction but I still decided to go to project search light as I thought there is nothing I could lose.
And I was right! I actually gained much more than I was expecting. The lord started revealing that he was actually desiring to redirect my steps. He had bigger and greater things in store.
All the people, counselors, speakers have wisdom, knowledge and encouragement to freely give. Take it all ! It’s so good ! I attended several breakout session that left me with golden nuggets. My favorite session was “How not to suck” by Joe Wishian. In that session, he discussed how we can use our waiting period wisely by creating building blocks that will lead up closer to what we want to do aka our calling.
Don’t be afraid or too prideful for the lord to change your plans. Always be expectant and willing to yes to him. Go after what you want, just do it !
Now I’m back at the drawing board with more excitement and ambition than what I had, with a vision to start a hostel and some practical goals to get there that I found during my time at PSL.
So don’t miss out and come to project search light !! You won’t regret it !
