This past month I have seen first hand the ways in which the Lord gives Abundantly!! A few weeks back before one of my fundraisers (a garage sale) I kept hearing the word “abundantly” echoing in my head! I heard it in my quiet moments with the Lord, I heard it shouting out loud the times I was stressed out, worried and even in a noisy place. There was no avoiding it. I knew it was a word from the Lord because I had already seen first hand how He has given abundantly. The rest of my expensive gear was bought thanks to my wonderful parents offering to pay for what I still needed. And I was well underway to reaching my second deadline in funding before the first one was even close. He was reminding me that He had already given to me abundantly and let’s not forget that I still have breath in my lungs reminding me of His abundant giving every day.
There was a moment when I was sitting in the travelers clinic to get my vaccinations and realized I didn’t have the money to pay for the vaccinations, and the Lord said “For I give abundantly”, and just after that my grandma said that she and my grandpa wanted to pay for my vaccinations. It was God’s perfect timing. Then a couple who supports me, found out how much the next round of vaccinations was going to be and offered to pay for them. For the Lord gives abundantly! Just before my garage sale, truckloads of stuff from friends and family came piling into my parents’ garage. An abundant amount of stuff was given to sell and that it did! An abundant amount of people came through my parents’ driveway for two weekends. The Lord gave abundantly. Just a week after the garage sale, five huge donations from close friends, family and church came within days of each other. Every time I saw the amount each of them gave, tears of joy ran down my face and the word “abundantly” was ringing in my head!
There is no doubt in my mind that this is the call on my life and that the Lord has and will make a way for any door He opens. All of this abundant giving has brought me to being fully funded!! 16,561 dollars was an impossible number just 6 months ago and today I can honestly say that victory has been won over that impossible number. Victory has been won by a great and mighty God whom I have decided to serve for the rest of my life. I pray that these next 11 months I can gave abundantly back to the One who gives abundantly to me. Words cannot even express the gratitude in my heart for each and every individual who is supporting me, financially, prayerfully, and with all the encouraging words I have received in the last few months of fundraising. So thank you all for your love, support, prayers and the ABUNDANT giving that has made a way for this mission trip. I am looking forward to the new ways God is going to give abundantly during the ten days at training camp come June and beginning August 4 launching to Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
