Dear Mom,

I’ve been rebellious and done things without your permission. Iv’e been lazy and complained about everything you’ve asked me to do. I’ve been bitter and treated you with disrespect when you didn’t deserve it. (You never deserve it) I’ve said things that I know have hurt you a lot. I haven’t been the greatest daughter, but believe me when I say, you’ve been the most wonderful mother. Your forgiving spirit and unconditional love has made me the young woman I am today. You’ve been the one person truly there for me my whole life. When I feel alone, lost, scared, hurt, or worthless, you remind me that I’m not. You’ve been my personal chef, chauffeur, seamstress, housekeeper, party planner, nurse, shopper, teacher, and photographer since I was born. I may not let you know, but the encouraging words and texts you occasionally send me, mean everything. You are my hero, my rock, and my role model. Thank you for never giving up on me. Thank you for being the only one who will honestly listen to me. Thank you for the wisdom and advice you’ve shared with me over the years. (Even if I don’t always take it) Thank you for supporting me in everything I do. Thank you for constantly reminding me I’m beautiful. Thank you for sacrificing everything to be the greatest mother in the world. Thank you for loving me with your whole heart. I may not be good at always expressing it, but I love you so much, Mom. I am proud to have you as my mother and I can only hope to be as great of mommy, wife, and woman of God that you are today.

With love from your daughter,

Amy
