What if your story read; I live on the streets, I get beaten by my mom, I get raped by my father? What if someone you didn’t even know cared enough about you to came in the middle of the night to rescue you, to grab the hand holding a weapon, to pick you up off the streets.

After my time in the Philippines, I could go on to share 20 different stories about the kids that I have come to know at Legacy Home, the kids introduced in the first blog of this series. These children are beautiful, beyond measure, despite the circumstances they have come from. Enjoy learning about how their lives as of today:

Benjho (15), Anna (14), and Lala (12): These siblings have grown so much since they joined the Legacy Home 2 years ago. They have found their place in the Lord's presence and have truly taken leadership roles among the other kids at the home. They have learned new skills such as  playing the guitar and have worked on their singing abilities. Not to mention, their faith continues to be rocked!

*Anna, myself and Lala

*Lala 🙂

*Lala and I (she was my "headlamp" and I was her "flashlight," we were pretty inseparable)

?Sandra: Sandra is finding a new life as a happy girl among her new family. She is all smiles and laughs all the time. She has been in the Legacy Home for 4 months now and seems like she has found her home.

*Sandra at snack time our first Saturday at Legacy, Aron had to make the photo 🙂

Gerry Mae: Gerry Mae has been in the Legacy Home for about one year and she still has her struggles. Sexual sin has a hold on her life but I feel like she is slowly fighting against it. We have been updated that during the first night of their revival, Gerry Mae experienced baptism in the Spirit!

Shiela (14), Amalia (9), Angelica (8), Piolo (4), Kimberly (3) and Ruben (1): The physical change in these siblings since they arrived at Legacy is astounding. They are being nourished and taken care of. Shiela is having dental work done and the other girl's head sores and lice are being taken care of. Ruben now eats like a 3 year old and he is barely 1! Their happiness is contagious :)?

*Sheila at our Saturday snack, noticed she is rocking the nails we painted

*Amalia 🙂

*Kimberly and Angelica

*Piolo and I

*Ruben being held my Benjho and Anna. They love him as if he was there sibling too 🙂

Aron (11): This kid will make you laugh. He is constantly goofing around. His guitar skills are also so impressive, they all have taught themselves to play! I loved playing ball with this kid, even though I schooled him every time (well, maybe not!).

Julio (6) and Julia (5): These two make everyone smile 🙂 They have been at Legacy for a year and their healing is evident!

*Julio is the little boy on the top left, he was hard to get a picture of but he truly was sweet! (Lala, Dinah, Sandra, and Anna are also pictured)

*Julia is the little one on the left, that face just makes you happy (Kimberly, Angelica and Piolo all set at the kid's table)

Edward (11) and Samuel (9): Talk about a physical change! These boys are truly displaying God's love to each other and the rest of the kids and family at Legacy. They bring joy wherever they go. They can be found playing their guitars and singing praises everyday!
