Don’t get me wrong, we loved helping our YWAM contacts on the farm and around the house. BUUUT WE HAD TO GET OUT AND EXPLORE!!
** The farm we lived on. In the distance you can see a Burmese mountain range.
** We had our fair share of cooking while in Kanchanaburi. We helped make a lot of the meals but some of our favorite things to make were sticky rice and Thai Iced Tea!
** The little store we frequented. I’m sure they loved us… or disliked us…. for eating all their food and drinking all their drinks
** 7 waterfalls in one day, and a rockslide (literally, a slide made out of a rock in one of the falls) and a free fish pedicure… YES PLEASE
** I’m not much of a history buff, but war and all that it entails interests me. I had just finished reading “Unbroken” by Laura Hillenbrand when we went to Hellfire Pass Museum… tears shed for both events.
** We all went to an elephant camp. Amanda and I got lucky, the elephant we rode on was rogue. She would just go wherever she wanted, even if that was over trees
** How do you even begin to explain the beauty found here? These tigers were gorgeous; their strength, captivating. I even experience a tail whipping or 4 🙂
** The Bridge over River Kwai (supposedly there’s a song about this)
** Did I mention, military coup?!?
Thailand was beautiful! We have been so blessed in our route so far with every country better than the last, every day better than the last, every experience better than the last.
I’m so glad to be a part of this journey, thank you for your support!
