Well, they said it. “World Race 15.” Well dang, if its not happening. I mean, seriously, you’ve got to be joking. In Central America, with rice and beans being the new fruits and vegetables, how is any girl supposed to lose weight? Take that food pyramid you’ve probably seen before, and flip it! Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating a little bit… I haven’t really gained 15 pounds but when you land in Thailand, you realize just how much bigger you are than everyone else.
The food in Asia has been very different from Central American cuisine… well, minus rice because that’s obviously a staple everywhere. We all have loved the food in Thailand; it’s AMAZING! I’ve always loved Thai food, but this is phenomenal. I am not joking; every meal is delicious! I’ve also had the chance to help prepare some of the dishes and hope to be able to do so when I get home (I know what you’re thinking mom) ๐

Thai culture is also very different. First off, we are in a sauna 24/7 but I have to wear way more clothes than I’m used too. For example, I just swam in a lake yesterday in a dress, a DRESS, because I didn’t have shorts to wear and girls need to be covered up! Currently the temperature is 95 degrees and the humidity is 80%. WOWZAH. That’s intense. I sweat a lot!

Now, Thai massages are ALSO different, very different. Little did I know, but a Thai massage is not the least bit relaxing. In other words, it’s painful! A lady named Noon (I called her Bah-Noon, meaning Auntie Noon) came by our house one afternoon and several of us got massages. Mine was 1.5 hours long and guess how much it costs: 150 baht! Crazy right… well if you just did research to see the exchange rate, you’re probably made at me. If you didn’t, I’ll just tell you; it costs me $5 USD. Yep, just $5 for a 90-minute massage (of torture). Come to Thailand to visit me and I’ll hook you up ๐

I have loved my time in Thailand, I will be sad to say goodbye. But I’m sure we’ll be back at some point, I mean, if you follow our route logically we will be back through!
Thanks for all the prayers and support. It means so much to me, Team Abounding, and #abbasquad
