As we will soon be leaving Spanish speaking countries, I wanted to share with you some things we have learned and will be sure not to repeat! Some of us know enough of the language to communicate, but little enough that we made some pretty funny mistakes! (the first 4 were my bloopers)
Tried to say: Actually said:
1- The Lord died for your sins (pecados) The Lord died for your fish (pescados)
2- I have 4 sisters and I’m the oldest (meyor) I have 4 children and I am the best (mejor)
3- Are you hungry? (tiene hambre) Do you have men? (tiene hombre)
4- We will pay for you (pagamos) We will fight you (pegamos)
5- Where do you live I have to go the bathroom
(this was translated wrong for the person as a joke)
6- I ask (yo pido) I fart (yo pedo)
