I believe the Lord establishes the steps of the righteous & guards our path as He guides us through this “race” of our lives. I have been reflecting on this theme over the past week as I look back at my life in general, but specifically this past year in San Diego. I can clearly see how He has placed me in the exact places He wants me in order to build certain relationships, experience specific things, be tested in my faith, grow, & be shaped as He continues to accomplish His purposes in my life. I believe that the Lord places us in the exact place in history and in the world that we are so that we will seek Him.
Moving out to San Diego last year was a step of faith for me- I knew in my heart that He was bringing me out here for some reason and that He wanted to grow me in my faith in a new way. He has done that and much more! He began teaching me about listening prayer, about being called by God (not just doing my own thing), and that God is orchestrating my every step and using all things for good because I love Him. He has also been blowing me away with His power, presence, desire for intimacy & involvement in our lives, and the authority and responsibility we have as His children. What an amazing blessing to have a relationship with the Creator of this world and of our lives!
It’s amazing to see that though I think I’m making my own decisions, He is using those choices in ways I never would’ve imagined. For example, my last 6 weeks out here I had the opportunity to move in with a dear friend and share close quarters. Because of that decision, God brought some more amazing friends in to my life in these last few weeks that He used as a tremendous source of encouragement and blessing! He crosses our paths with others for very specific purposes!
I know in this upcoming year and just in my life in general, that I can have confidence that as I seek God, He will place me exactly where He wants me and that He will bring people into my life that He wants me to minister to. My responsibility is to be led by Him, purposeful in my time and people I’m in contact with, and walking in faith.
I’ve been completely amazed at God’s goodness and blessings & want to thank all of you in San Diego for your friendship & love! What a neat time of enrichment, training for this upcoming year & awesome fellowship!
