For future racers and anyone who wants to know what the world race is really like.

I’ve wanted to write this blog for a while but haven’t been quite sure how, so I am going to be very real and very honest.

The World Race is some of the most incredible, awesome, hilarious, hard, stressful and trying moments of your life.

What most people see when they see pictures and videos of the world race is people having a fun and awesome time, which is true, everyone does have an awesome time. But what people don’t usually see is what actually goes on, the hard stuff, the grit, and the struggles.

The world race is a time for you to grow your relationship with The Lord, and when that relationship grows to the deepest levels you never thought possible the enemy knows he has to work that much harder, and so he does. His attacks are very real and it’s something that I’ve struggled with a lot since being on the race.

“You’re not worth anything”
“Why do you think you matter?”
“You see? No one here notices you, why even be here anymore?”

Each lie I hear cuts deeper and deeper. But that’s just it, they’re lies. I know they’re not the truth so every day I have to make a decision to not believe them and believe I am a woman of God, a woman worth Him dying for.

Every day it’s hard, but when I choose to believe the truth it’s worth every moment.

If I could say one thing about the world race it would be this: the fight is real, and it’s hard and painful; but everyday you have to make the conscious decision to fight for The Lord. And when you do, He will show you His unimaginable power in ways you never thought possible.
