The Word on my heart right now is boldness. Why does that word scare us into un-action sometimes? I recently tried to share my love with a friend that was going through a hard time. The two key words are ‘MY LOVE’. Trust me, if someone is having a hard time your love is great, but what is truly needed is God’s love. Our love could be false, empty, or unauthentic. But God’s love- that is everlasting. It is the only love that will bring us up from hard times. A person can always let you down; but even when it seems that God is no where around, He is within us. He is just waiting for us to recognize Him.

My prayer for myself and everyone reading this is that we will not live a life of fear. As a wise friend of mine once said, ‘sometimes what a person needs is to have the red carpet ripped out from underneath them and hear the words that God loves you’.  These are simple words that will change your life.

Acts 2:37-39

When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other Apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off-for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

It’s funny to me that when I read this the words that speak the loudest to me are: ‘Brothers what shall we do?’ Peter answered boldly and told them about our Savior.

How many times has a friend, stranger, or anyone been right in front of us and we see that they are hurting and we choose to back away in fear. I keep thinking about all the people I will meet on World Race. I will see so many people who are hurting and lost. But I am not on World Race yet. I pray that I will not be afraid to answer boldly right here and right now. I do not want to be so caught up on what is to come that I cannot see the people around me who need to know right now that God loves them.
