Soon after arriving to our ministry site, our contact, Peter took us to see his friends. Lal and Anu are missionaries that go to the unreached people in Nepal and share the gospel(only 1-2% of the people are Christians). However, seven months ago Anu was in an accident. Her spinal column was broken in two places, her head had split open, and now she is paralyzed from the waist down. Lal needed encouragement. He was struggling to do everything to care for her, to cook, and to take care of their five year old son. He needed to be reminded of God’s love and give him hope.
We entered their room, Anu was laying on her back in bed and Lal sitting next to her. I could see the pain in her face. She has bed sores on her back and movement causes a lot of pain. She was prayed over once before, and they had seen some improvement. She could move her toes but couldn’t feel anything.
We began to pray with intensity. Aimee had a vision Anu would be dancing soon in praise to God. We asked her to do something she hasn’t done before. She decided to sit up, but you could see how difficult it was for her. Then she tried to stand. We held her up and prayed more, but she became weak again and needed to rest. We prayed blessing over the house and left.
We returned just a few days later. As we entered the room, she was sitting on the floor; you could see joy. She looked transformed. They told us that since we prayed the bondage she carried has been broken. She is eating more, and during the nights, her legs are so active as if she were running.
What a testimony this will be to all the people they meet as they spread the gospel. How can you deny the power of God?
