When poop hits you in the face…all you can do is laugh. We have been having some crazy LONG days in the village. However, there have been so many times I think to myself, is this really my life?
Everyday, we go door-to-door to speak to the people about Jesus. Every night, we have prayer services where we speak about Jesus and we also teach the children. There is one woman in the village who was a closet Christian and everyone else is Hindu and worship many gods. Since arriving over fifteen people, in a village of 200, have accepted Christ.
On Saturday, we baptized two people, one man from our village, Suuri, and our translator’s son, Isaac. We all jumped in to a flatbed trailer and headed out. As we were getting closer to the dam we drove up to a Hindu temple. We weren’t sure what was happening…we didn’t want to go a temple, but the water we were baptizing them was on the side of the temple. It was pretty awesome to baptize in the name of Jesus right there. Both Suuri and Isaac came out of the water so happy. It was awesome! The we got to walk across this giant dam and see some monkeys.
On our way home, I was sitting in the front right behind the tractor wheel. We passed many people out bringing their cows and sheep home. All of a sudden a chunk of poop flew on my arm and we laughed about it. A few seconds later, a piece flew and landed on the side of my nose. I turned around to ask if I had it on my face and Tiffany just laughed.
It was just one of those days where all I could do was ask, is this really my life?
