Lord, after all these months of waiting, the time is finally
here. The calling You have for my life right now is about to be put into
action. I can see You standing in front of me, motioning for me to take steps
closer to You.
Jesus, I am coming! I
will follow You wherever You lead me. I will be listening for Your voice, and I
will be obedient.
I am filled with awe at the ways You have equipped me for
these next 11 months. You have revealed Your passionate love for me by surrounding
me with supportive friends. I have felt Your comfort through the presence of
family. You have shown up in unexpected ways, through the prayer of a 5-year
old child. There is something about having an innocent child pray over me,
calling out to You, that fills me with amazement at the work of Your hands.
Complex or simple words, You are just grateful and overjoyed to hear Your
children speaking to You.
It is only in You, Father, that I find the strength to go on
an adventure like this. It is only in You that I find peace about going to
unfamiliar countries. It is only in You that I can find JOY in leaving the
familiar in exchange for watching You move mountains in people’s hearts.
My heart is ready, Lord! Rid me of anything that is
unpleasing to You. FILL me with Your consuming presence. Do with me as You
please. My old life is gone – no more stylish outfits, no more comfortable bed,
no more routines, no more cell phone, no more choice of cute shoes, no more
States. Those things don’t compare to the joy I have found in giving my entire
life in devotion to my Savior. This life is like the passing wind, only a
vapor. I want to live every moment for You. Every day is a gift
from You, Father!
So mold me into Your image. Teach me to love like You love. Give
me Your eyes to see the world, to see Your beautiful sons and daughters. Use me
to bring healing, comfort, and complete freedom. Holy Spirit, guide me every
moment of every day! I trust You with my life, and I know there is NO stopping
Your plans! You have vanished my fears and calmed my nerves so that my eyes
stay focused on You, my Mighty Fortress.
You are Sovereign. You are perfect in every way. You are in
control. You are the great I AM. You deserve all the glory, and honor, and
praise!
