Friends and Family,
I am getting prepared to leave for the Philippines in 2
weeks!! I am more than excited! I will fly from Chicago to L.A. on September 13th,
and then will fly with my team to the Philippines. These next two weeks will be
a time of raising more support, packing, and more packing. It takes a lot of
careful planning to fit ALL of my belongings into one hiking backpack!
My week-long training
camp in White, Georgia was a time of spiritual, emotional, and physical
preparation for the next year of my life. I have never experienced God’s love
and power in the ways I experienced that week! I also got to meet the team of
people I’ll be traveling and living with. In being with those people for a
week, I could already sense the Lord uniting us together and empowering us for
the ministry of His Kingdom. If you’d like to read more about my training camp,

Update on My Financial Needs

The Lord has been faithful in providing my
needs through all of you, and I am so incredibly thankful for each one of you.
When I think about the total cost, I sometimes think, “I’ll never be able to
raise that much!” But then I look how far the Lord has already brought me, and I am reminded that He is the Supplier of
all my needs. I know without a doubt God has called me to this particular
mission field, and I believe He will equip me to go.
Fundraisers
Since I have two
weeks left in Goshen, if any of you in town need anything done (i.e.
babysitter, car-washer, painter, someone to organize/clean your house, etc.) I
am willing to do it!
I am also doing a
fundraiser called Threads of Hope. This organization helps at-risk
families in the Philippines by selling hand-made bracelets. By selling these
bracelets, women and children are provided an alternative to prostitution, and
the money also goes towards their education. I am partnering with this organization
by selling their bracelets (half of the money goes towards my mission work,
while the other half goes towards at-risk families in the Philippines). I am
looking for opportunities to sell these bracelets and raise awareness of human
trafficking, while raising support for the mission work I’ll be doing. If any
of you are interested, know of a place to sell them, or are interested in
taking some to sell yourself, let me know!

have been such an amazing encouragement to me throughout this process! I
greatly appreciate all your prayers – they are needed, for sure! I would
appreciate your prayers for safe travel in a couple weeks and that God would
continue to teach me, mold me into His image, and rid me of myself in order to give
my entire life over to Him in reckless abandonment.
