Here is a blog I wrote a little over a week ago before we left Guatemala!
"So, if they need a third person to give their testimony, can one of you give it?"
Erin and I looked at each other, "I'll go." Erin stated.
Phew I was in the clear. Except I knew I wasn't. In my heart I could feel the pressure of the Holy Spirit telling me I needed to give mine. I could feel my palms getting sweaty and I'll I could think about was what I was going to say.
Erin turned to me, "I can't think of anything. Can you give yours?"
Dang it! "Yeah, I've had it running through my mind. I'll go."
Jaclyn finished giving her testimony.
"Next"
Ummmm… and up I went.

"So we're changing ministry sites for Monday through Thursday of next week."
I'm sorry what?! I love the daycare!
"We're going to be serving at the construction site and pulling weeds."
Huh!??!!?? I want to work with kids! I hate pulling weeds!!! Seriously ask my parents!
"Okay."
We got to the site and for the first three days several of us, had the opportunity to go up the mountain and work with a ministry team from Houston and do VBS with the local kids, many of who had never had an opportunity like that. The team had expected 75 kids. There were around 130. God is good. I still had the chance to work with kids, but I still pulled weeds!

See when God says "Go!" You go or you don't; but if you don't you may miss out on some amazing opportunities. Because I shared my testimony another girl on my squad, who had gone through something similar, and I connected in a way I would have never expected. Since I went to the construction site, I made a beautiful connection with this awesome team from Houston who I know I will be friends with long after those 4 short days of weed pulling. Also, I had the opportunity to fellowship with one of the other World Race teams and my own teamates in a way that was not possible at the daycare. What a huge blessing! God will always surpass you expectations. God is good all the time. If He's telling you to "Go!" Go. It doesn't matter if it's something big like a job change, the World Race, or something small like pulling weeds or giving your testimony, there will be huge blessings and God may surprise you!
