Yesterday, I had one of these moments. A moment in time where my entire countenance shifted from a single phone call. The thing is that it was not Spanish on the other side causing this shift deep within, but rather Thai. I called the Thai Chicago Consulate in regards to a visa question (people have to aquire a visa if they plan to stay in Thailand longer than 30 days). When the man answered the phone I heard "Sawat Dii Khrap". My cheeks began to rise with this ginormous smile as I replied "Sawat Dii Kha…I have question." Yes broken English, I know!

In that moment, I began to realize that the same joy, love I have for Latino cultures was beginning to manifest within me for Thailand. What a shift because it has not been all roses on the table. In fact, I have cried out many times why Thailand God when Latinos get me pumped?! BUT God is faithful…He knows what is best and transforms our hearts to where He has called us. It is BEAUTIFUL!

As of last week, I will hopefully be departing (to grow more in my Thai conversations) on August 28th. A one way ticket is bought and tourist visa is in the works! The only thing is that this ticket is dependent on my financial status! I currently need around $600 more of monthly supporters before I am able to step foot on the plane.
