I am simply overwhelmed. I am overwhelmed with God's GREAT love. Time and time again I try to wrap my mind around it, but it is beyond my understanding. I am in awe. I am in awe of how He chooses to use us over and over and over and over. He does not have to, but yet He does. Somehow, some way we all seem to fit into His grandeous masterpiece…Kingdom

This past weekend, I found out some incredilbe news….My friend from Thailand, Noy, has decided to LEAVE the bar she worked at! No more using her body to make money. No more being owned by someone. Simply, NO MORE!

Erica, Noy and Me

If you will recall, I was in Thailand this past December for 2 weeks on a Vision Trip. During this time, an Alumni World Racer, Erica, and I built relationships with this one young 18 year old lady who was working in the Red Light District in Northern Thailand.

I remember the first time I walked into her bar so clearly. As we were prayer walking the streets, we passed our ministry friends at a bar. We saw them pointing their heads toward the one next door. With slight hesitation because of the immense amount of darkness potruding from within, we agreed to enter. By the end of the night, we met this one girl, Noy. (for more on the bar refer to earlier blog, Bar Hopping Extravaganza) Incredible! Come to find out, our friends were NOT telling us to go to this bar, but rather it was a nudging from the Spirit. Divine Appointment, I think so! From then on, we made a point to see Noy every day. One day, she even gave us a tour of the city! Beautiful.

It was time to come back to America, so our friend who works for the ministry we were serving with, continuted investing in Noy. Pouring into her, loving her. Simply being Jesus to her. One day, Noy went to do slum ministry with her. Did you hear that? My friend who was trapped in bar life, who was surrounded by darkness, went to be a part of taking Jesus to these kids. Phenominal! Talk about the Holy Spirit moving and orchestrating every step!

Again, I am in awe of how God uses us. I am amazed at the power of prayer. It is true, without LOVE we are nothing. I have realized that it is not about going into the bars with a mind set of "rescuing" people, but rather with a mindset of love…Christ's love.  In the end we love, and let the Spirit do the rest.  God is good and longs to use each one of us, espeically YOU.

Thanks for being a part of her story. Continue to pray for safety for Noy and everyone involved. May love cover it all!
