This month we have been serving at an orphanage called Caminul Felix in Oradea, Romania. This home was inspired by a Sweedish man and his American wife after the way in which orphaned, sick and handicapped children were living was revealed after the Revolution in 1989. Something needed to happen.
In 1990 this first home was made with this couple. Then in 1992 the first village was built consisting 6 different homes comprising of 12-15 children and one married couple with their biological kids if any. Their idea is to give abandoned children a new mother and father, a home and a real family with faith and resources to heal, develop and live.

With 200 plus children, 16 homes, and 16 married couples later, changes are always happening. Currently, they are in the process of building new homes so more families can be created. Between village one and two, we have been helping with construction. From digging foundations to mixing cement, it is incredible to be a part of the larger picture.

Last work week of the WR…waiting for
our construction leader

Again…
Being in this place, makes me excited for what's next. It was no accident that God placed me here at the exact model for my dream. A home in which children grow up to be leaders in a safe and loving family enviornment. A place where kids are accepted, cared for and loved. A family to always come back to.
From building permits, to social services, to registrations and legalizations, it is not going to be an easy ride. However, there is one thing I know for sure…God is in control and He will make this happen. He has already provided thus far and I know when I get back stateside He is going to do even more.
If you have any ideas, thoughts, networking let me know.
This dream is now becoming a REALITY.

The Men made us dinner, picked us flowers, and
showed a movie for us…it felt like Mother's Day
As far as when I get back, I plan on taking the first two months to process, explore different avenues, catch up with friends and family, and do odd end jobs. If you have any jobs from constructioin to house cleaning to landscaping to babysitting let me know. I would really appreciate any and all help. A way to support me with the transition back into life in America would be gift cards for all types of things. I am basically starting all over…
Thank you for all your support and more processing is to come! Ministry is over meaning only 6 days left overseas…wow!
