Tonight we went to an orphanage and I didn’t really want to go to the music room but the books were placed in my hand and so I went.  Well praise the Lord for those books!  I am so glad I was in that room.  The girl’s voices were so beautiful.  I sat there with tears in my eyes as they made a beautiful song before the Lord.  I didn’t see how anyone could give them up.  Then I looked at Rebecca, a lady in her 20’s from the states, who was playing guitar and realized that she has trained these girls and invested in them. She had caught on to their talent and begun to pull it out of them.  These girls now want to do more with their lives, unlike some of the other orphans who feel as though they have no future.  They continued singing and God continued moving in my heart.

What will you do when you go home amy? Remember 2 Timothy 2:2?  Mentor.  I want to go to young women who have less in spirit and in life and pour life in to them. I want them to know their worth.  I want to put a finger on their talent or passion and help them grow in it; all while being Jesus to them and disciplining.  The Lord loves the little children and I want to be a part of what He is doing with them! Their voices, giggles, smiling eyes, and hugs made an imprint on my heart.  I will invest in women the rest of my life.  God open my eyes to opportunities wherever you place me back home.  I want to give hope to young women and old who would otherwise seem to have none. These girls were left, abandoned, or given up, they are broken, but in the kingdom they are wanted, treasured, prized, and loved.  I hope that in my investments they will know whose they are and who they are and have a greater purpose to live for.
