I am a Princess because I am a daughter of the Most High King. Many of you who know me well have heard this before because I love to preach it to the women around me, but I am really being brought deeper into my identity in Jesus this month.

My friend mentioned something inspiring the other day. “We are not just dainty princesses that dress up in gowns, pamper themselves, and eat grapes all day, but we are princesses that are preparing to reign. I am a Princess Warrior. I believe my team and I are becoming professional and skilled Warriors as God continues to equip us and pull us deeper. God has given us authority and we need to learn how to tap into it. I want to be able to notice the schemes of the devil before he attacks and put my shield up to block the fiery arrows. I want to know where the Lord will move next so that I can be ready to take part.

Royalty looks different in God’s kingdom. Jesus served his entire life. In my identity as Princess Warrior, I’m learning to put on my armor and then go out and serve. You have to have that full armor to do anything around here. The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit are essential. For a few days, we prayed for each of those pieces as a team. Now it is up to me to keep putting them on.

Since we’re on the topic of identity, try something with me. Make a T chart sometime this week (I made mine!) On one side write the lies that satan uses to trip you up. Here are some examples of lies satan might be speaking to you: I’m inadequate, I’m not enough, I’m not pretty, I’m unworthy, I’ll never measure up. Write the lies you are most often tripped up by. Then leave room on the other side to battle those lies with truth. Get out your bible and begin to ask God for the truth that overcomes that lie. “I cannot afford to have thoughts in my head about me that God does not have in His (Nina read this to me from Bill Johnson’s book). If you know truths about yourself then write those on the truth side in their own space and walk in those confidently. I want the children of God to be grounded in their identity so that we can go out and do our thing for Jesus. Warriors let’s go.
