Lithuania was a great month of ministry and meeting contacts. We didn’t know anyone when we got there and we were staying in a hostel that was not within our budget. Within days God provided us with a couple contacts. Through one we found a cheap apartment. Through our first contact we kept on meeting other contacts.
It was amazing how connected the church is in Lithuania. They have so few churches and believers but they are willing to come together for the sake of Christ. They are already united through Jesus, but they strive to maintain that unity.
Unity was a message I heard a lot about this month. God brought it up through church services, youth groups, our team, etc. He kept reminding me that I am one part of the body of Christ. I am also a necessary part as well as every other part of the body. We must maintain our core in Christ in order to function properly as a whole unit. We must work together otherwise the whole thing falls apart.
We had a lot of great experiences this past month. We met a ton of people, went to a huge cultural festival, painted a community room, went to a house church, spent time with kids at an orphanage, helped lead a youth group, attended a worship service for youth groups in English and Lithuanian, and got to speak on the radio of a Christian radio station. It was a great month of learning about unity!
