My home town is one of my favorite places.

There are these signs when you drive in that let you know
that you are entering a town of friendly people.

And they’re not kidding.

This town is full of friendly, kind, giving, generous
people.

As a fundraiser for my summer adventure I had a pork burger
sale.
(This is normal if you live in
Fairfield, Illinois)

We set up shop in front of the county courthouse and my dad
and his friends cooked some delicious burgers.

Before we even had burgers to sell I had my first
donation…from a man who’s name I didn’t know until my dad told it to me.

And the morning continued on much like that.

A bunch of people I don’t really know came and bought
burgers and left large tips.  Like really
large.  One man bought two pork burgers
and paid with a $100 bill and told me to keep the change.  That’s like a $96 tip.  Crazy nice!

By the end of the sale we had taken in a large part of what
I needed to raise for this summer.

I am so thankful for my family and my parents’ friends who
have been so willing to help with all my fundraising projects.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

to everyone who has helped
in all my fundraising adventures and continues to support me with not just your
money but your large amounts of love and encouragement.

You truly are some very friendly people!!
