I may have failed to officially mention that I am spending this month in Thailand.
Sorry about that J

It is true. I am spending the month of May in Chantaburi, Thailand working with a group of all women racers. The women of Team Current have been joined by the Team Post Office women.

We decided we needed a name for our new team and because of a random comment we now refer to ourselves as
‘Again, for the first time.’

It is a perfectly fitting name.
Here we are again starting a new month. But, for the first time in Thailand and for the first time with this group of people.

Sometimes on the race I feel like I’m repeating the same cycle of things over and over again. I move to a new country, find out my ministry, move to the city I will stay in for the month, find out for real what my ministry will be ( it’s never quite what you think it will be), get to know and love people for a few weeks, and then say goodbye and start all over again.

It’s hard and it’s fabulous all at the same time. It’s hard to give my heart away again and again and again.  Yes, my heart breaks a little every time I have to leave my new loves behind.   And yes, it’s completely and totally worth it.

Even though it seems to be the same every month it is still completely different.
I may be moving again but it’s my first time in this new country and my first time to experience their culture.

So this month ‘Again, for the first time’ will be doing it all again, but really for the first time.

We are working with a pastor in Chantaburi mostly teaching English in the community.
We will also be visiting community members and the youth prison and we are commited to praying for our other teams who are working in different areas of Thailand, some with women, men and children involved in the sex industry.

Please join me and my team in praying for the country of Thailand.  God says they’re beautiful and we want to do anything we can while we’re here to help them see that it is true.
