So the time has finally come! After all of the preparation and anticipation, our launch date is readily approaching. I’ll find myself in India on January 1st (a mere 9 days away!!!). During the passed few months God has taught me so much through the fundraising process. He has been so faithful to provide, and the reality of movement caused by prayer has been utterly amazing!
We need a minimum of $5000 to launch, and I have officially exceeded this deadline! My total balance has reached $5400. In addition to this, I have received all necessary/recommended immunizations, obtained all my gear, and purchased both traveler’s insurance and my initial plane ticket to the meeting site. When approaching the the list of expenses in the preparation process, it seemed very daunting. However, through the faithfulness of God and the generosity of His followers, I am now on the other side of a checked-off to-do list. 🙂
I am not gone yet, though! Nor do I have the full $14,600 that it will take to complete this trip. I would love to take this last week as an opportunity to inform others of the details of this trip, and to ask for your partnership in it. Your financial support during the endeavor would be deeply appreciated, and would allow for more ministries to be reached with the Gospel. Any amount that you are led/able to give will make all the difference. And, even more important than donations is your support in prayer. Please lift my team and I up whenever you are led. Our hearts are to be as effective as possible in all of the regions we will be spending time. In order for this to happen, we would be so thankful for prayers concerning safety, spiritual sensitivity, pure hearts, a sense of openness/flexibility, wisdom and discernment, etc…
A brief rundown on the excursion:
-Our squad will be in India, Nepal, Romania, Moldova, South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Australia.
-We will spend a month in each country.
-Our squad of about 60 people will split up among pre-arranged ministries in each country. (Teams of 6.)
-The ministries individually vary. Some examples include: orphanages, women’s ministries, shelters, villages where Christianity has been introduced/established, churches, etc…. We will join in building and maintaining each ministry both through practical and Biblically spiritual needs.
If you have any other questions, I would love to find an answer for you! Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.
Thank you so much for you care and interest, and for joining me in this mission through support and prayer! You are so appreciated. 🙂
Because of Him,
Amiee
