Recently I finished a book titled Voice in the Night. It tells of a 15 year old boy called by the Father to leave his home in the bush of Mozambique to follow his calling and plant churches throughout Africa. My favorite line reads, “I knew God was guiding my steps and I was ready to go anywhere He wanted me to go.” This is exactly where the Lord has brought me. I have seen His hand guiding my steps and directing my path, a path that brought me on the World Race.
As month 11 draws to a close, I have looked back on my time here, on this incredible journey. I’ve gone over the lessons He has taught me about faith, and trust, and comfort, and confidence. I’ve replayed events leading up to my decision to step out of my comfort zone, leave my family, my friends, and my career to pursue the one thing that matters above all else. Our heavenly Father.
During this time a desire has been placed on my heart to continue partnership with Adventures in Missions and help others find their passion in ministry. To recognize their abilities and strengths and discover their calling. Realizing how He has uniquely designed them to use these gifts to bring Glory to His kingdom!
I have been given the great opportunity to do just that through a discipleship program AIM has developed called the Center for Global Action. I’ve been asked to be their Discipleship and Community Coordinator in Gainesville, Georgia. Although this is a big undertaking, I know that with the Lords help, I am equal to the task. I will be working with mentors and apprentices, teaching classes and developing curriculum. I am blessed and humbled beyond belief to be chosen for this incredible position.
And although I am sad to be leaving my home of over 25 years Fairfax, Virginia I am certain that this is the next step and I am super psyched to see what He has in store!!!
