Love is Patient, Love is Kind… Love is my mommy, Susie Beadling. She is the most gentle, loving, caring, empathetic, generous, tender hearted person I know. I was lucky enough to spend the last 5 days with her during our squad’s Parent Vision Trip in Swaziland, Africa. She traveled by herself all the way from Washington D.C. to spend a few precious days with me on the mission field. We laughed, we cried, we served. We “cooked”, we cleaned, and we played. We read the Word, we worshiped, and we prayed together. In this final stretch it was just what I needed to encourage me to finish the Race well.
I’ve always had a deep appreciation for her loving heart, and this week I saw a glimpse of what every mother already knows… they love their child and place them before themselves. My mom has ALWAYS placed others ahead of herself. She radiates the Father’s selfless love.
In addition to the words above, this week I realized how courageous and tough my mom really is. She may not realize it, but she possesses a boldness like none other. She comes across real kind and sweet, but she if BOLD for the Lord. The Lord has made her a fighter. A fighter for what is good, what is right, and what is just.
She is an inspiration and a joy to know. She leads by example, spending each morning in quiet time and prayer. She is constantly writing down thoughts, words, and scripture for others. She even made encouragement goody bags for each of my teammates including wordless bracelets, treats, snack sized individual peanut butters, and notes with scripture tailored to each one.
I am so blessed to have this godly woman example in my life. James 1:12 states, “Blessed in the (wo)man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive he crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” Well momma, I can’t wait to see your crown. It’s gonna be a beauty, just like you!
Thanks for making the PVT happen! I’m so blessed and encouraged, and love you more than you know!
Happy Moo Day!
Love you!!!
