Ever since committing to the World Race only 3 short months ago I've seen the Lord move more times than I can express.  After a long day of completing tasks, and checking off to-dos, I just wanted to spend quality time with some of my closest friends. Text after text was sent and several phone calls later.. no response sad  I even tried calling my mom… 3 times!  I decided to run one last errand in the hopes that someone would call me back and want to hang.

I felt the Holy Spirit nudging me to go to Target.  And when the Lord tells you to go to Target, YOU GO TO TARGET wink  (Specifically the Target 4 towns away, meaning I passed 3 other Target stores to get there.)  As I walked into this particular Target, a very close friend from my college days was walking out with her two small daughters in tow.  We had not seen each other in years, but have always managed to pick up where we left off.  Thinking that was the reason He lead me out of my way, I thanked Him for the fun surprise!

Little did I know, He wasn't finished with me yet. Walking down the grocery isle, I was feeling really thankful, when I saw a rather disheveled looking man who seemed incredibly out of place for this particular area of town. Without thinking, I asked if he needed anything.  He told me he wasn't sure, but maybe some food.  I offered to buy it for him and he said he'd let me know.  As I shopped across the way, he disappeared.  After two laps around the entire store looking for my new friend, I thought maybe I had made up the whole thing.

As I left the store, I began praying for this man. Heading back to my car rather dejected, I noticed him sitting on the bench outside. Without hesitation I walked over to him and said, "There you are! I've been looking all over for you! Are you ready to grab some food?"

"I'm taking a smoke break," he replied.

"I can see that," I joked.

He then informed me that he really didn't need anything, and didn't feel right about taking things from people when they weren't needed.  I commended him for his integrity, and asked if I could sit with him.  We chatted for a bit and I offered to pray with him.  As he closed his eyes, I thanked the Lord for His provision and asked to fill the man with peace.  I don't know what the rest of this gentleman's story will be, but I praise the Father for allowing me to share Christ's love without hesitation.

This month has repeatedly shown me how faithful the Father is at teaching, and instructing His children to step out in faith. From little things like encounters with strangers, to the big things like saying goodbye to a dear friend, I see His loving hand. His faithfulness has given me a courage and a boldness to step out in my faith without fear. Conversations, and even miracles of healing are things that I have been privileged to witness, and praise the Lord for.  Galatians 2:20 says it is not "I who live, but Christ who lives in me."  It is He who has allowed these things to take place and the more I listen to the voice of the Lord, to do what is right in His sight, the easier it is to show courage and have faith.
