Dear Friends and Family,
Those who know me, know my heart; I love people, I love serving, and I love pouring into those I come in contact with. The past ten years has been spent loving, serving, and pouring into the lives of students who have walked through my classroom doors. During my teaching career, I often traveled during the summer, doing short-term mission trips with various ministry components. I knew that my love for these trips was growing and impacting me in increasingly deeper ways each year. Through a combination of circumstances, God led me to take my passion and love for serving students and others as an educator, and apply them to loving the poor around the world.
This September as a new school year begins; I will be leaving the United States to serve with an Adventures in Missions program called the World Race. The World Race is an eleven-month commitment in which young adults travel to 11 different countries preaching the Gospel and ministering to the “least of these”. Traveling to: Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, India, Nepal, Mozambique, Swaziland, and South Africa my team and I will partner with local churches and missionaries to complete manual labor projects, care for orphans, pray for the sick, and minister to those affected by human trafficking, prostitution, and suffering with HIV/AIDS.
This decision is a huge leap of faith. In addition to taking leave from my job, the comforts of home, family, and friends, I will need to raise financial support of $15,500 in trip costs alone. If even 100 people committed to give $15.50 for the next 10 months, the trip costs would be fully funded! Medical coverage, vaccinations, transportation to training camp as well as to and from the starting location, and personal effects are additional expenses.
Your help with financial support would be so appreciated! A one time gift or monthly donation of any amount would be wonderful. If writing a check, please make it to Adventures in Missions P.O. Box 534470 Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470 with BEADLING AMIE in the memo line. You’ll find a response card attached. This will provide Adventures in Missions the information necessary to send you a tax-deductible receipt. For online giving and updates, please visit my blog amiebeadling.theworldrace.org. You can click on the “Support Me” link in the upper left side of the page and follow the instructions to charge a contribution.
Each of you mean a great deal to me. Thank you for considering partnering with me in this extraordinary venture!
Blessings,
amie b
