Hola mi familia y amigos!
My team and I are enjoying our time here in Chapare, Bolivia. We are in the small pueblo of Chipiriri in the Andes Mountain range.
We are working with a small baptist church. The pace of life here is mouch slower and more simple than we are used to. It has taken some adjustment but hey, life means adapting to your situation so its also been a great experience.
We have been able to preach and teach and get to know defferent people throughout the community.
We have a few upcoming events in our final two weeks. One being this saturday in honor of the Bolivian “Day of the Child”. We are hosting an event for the kids in the area. We wil host games, teach them songs and do a short teaching ( as kids don’t have that long of an attention span). On the 20th of April we have a garbage campaign to clean up the pueblo and teach the community about the importance of taking care of their home. They ironically have signs every where saying “keep your park beautiful” but there is garbage everywhere. We hope that this kick starts an appreciation, importance, and respect for the environment.
My team has also recieved our placement for our final month. We will be making our home in Los Andes, Chile, working alongside the Assemblies of God church there. We are SO excited and anticipating an incredible conclusion to this season of service, sacrifice, learning and growing.
Sorry its so short but internet is limited here in the mountains 🙂
All my love friends,
Amelia
