My name is Amberly Vincent.
(this picture is a joke)
I’ve been blessed with a spirit to travel, a desire to love and love well, a passion to explore to new places, meet all kinds of people, cherish people’s stories, and in doing so to reflect God’s own heart for the world.
I believe that everything that has happened so far in my life has pointed towards God’s ultimate plan of sending me on the Race. Around the age of seven my parents started taking me to serve in a soup kitchen and food pantry, and it’s all just exploded from there! Since then have blessed to take part in several homeless outreach trips in various US cities, and two trips to the beautiful country of Kenya. It was in Kenya that I realized that God had been weaving a common thread of service through my life, and He wanted to use that thread to prepare a tapestry of mission and ministry for me!
I just (May 3, 2014) graduated from George Fox University with a BA in Christian Ministries: Missions and Youth Ministry. Throughout my time at Fox, I learned an incredible amount of truth about who God really is. He knows the desires of our hearts, and tells us that He has a bigger plan than anything that we can come up with for ourselves. I believe that the World Race is one great keystone of that plan!
