I’m having a legit moment of panic right now. I just got an email from World Race with my LAUNCH date! Which is extremely exciting! BUT News Flash! Our Launch date was pushed up a whole TWO WEEKS from our tentative launch date in July!!!! We now leave on June 27th and 28th ! Therefore, my first deadline for money raised has also been moved up. Now I need to have $7,500 raised and in my Adventures in Missions account by May 21st. That means I need to raise $5,000 in about 3 and a half months and I can’t do that without you!
Whether that means you personally can help by donating, or you share my trip with your friends, family, co-workers, a stranger you met on the street! Help me get the word out in any way possible. You can post something about it with a link to my blog on your Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Instagram…maybe you’d be willing to send out an email to everyone on your contact list about it. You could donate things for me to sell at the Garage Sale that I’m having on April 25th. No matter how you help, it will make a difference.
I am truly not good with asking people for help. I don’t like to impose on people or push for things. Fundraising has really been a struggle for me because of this. I don’t want to be a bother or make people feel that they HAVE to help me out, especially if they really can’t afford to, so I stay pretty quiet about it instead, but, I’ve realized in the last week or two that I can’t do that anymore. It’s crunch time. I’ve procrastinated and held off for many reasons, but as of now I need to get out of my chair and do something about it. And yes, that includes me asking you for your help. Together I know that we can make that deadline! Will you please help me meet that deadline?
