This month our ministry was to serve wherever needed. We are working with many missionaries in Draganesti Olt, Romania. This part of Romania is only 1% Christian. The area we are in is called the "graveyard" because it's where many missionaries have came and churches were started but they never make it – they just die out.

The group we are working with are like a family. Although they are many different families they come together as one, and I believe that is one of the main reasons they are doing so well here.

This month we all split up to help serve these families in any way we could. I spent my month with a missionary couple named Mark and Florina and their two sons: David who is two years old and Ruban who is one. My job this month was pretty much house cleaning, cooking and babysitting the kids so they could use their time to minister effectively. I also got to help with the childrens ministry and do some evangelism.

It was a joy to spend this month serving this family who has committed their life to ministry. I loved my time with them, hearing how God called them to Draganesti and continues to supply all their needs. The more I heard their heart for this place and the vision God has given them, the more I wanted to help them in anyway I could. I could see their love for the people every day as we went out to serve. We would always visit the poor and bring them clothes and food. Every time God blessed this family with anything at all, they would only take a little, then give the rest to the poor around them.

As we left after our last day with them, they continually thanked us for our help. They were very happy because they were able to get things done during these last few weeks than they would have in a couple months if we hadn't been there to help. It was hard for me to think of this month as being a real "ministry" at first. It was very different from what I expected but I believe it was exactly where God wanted me to be. He often calls us to just serve – even if it's in ways we don't understand. What He's asking us to do might not make since at first, but don't disregard the little things. Sometimes the little things can mean the world to someone.

Truly, I am sad to leave these people. I can't believe that we'll be going into month ten in just a few days. Please continue to pray for me and my team that we can finish the race strong. Also, please pray for Mark, Florinia and their beautiful family as they reach out to the people of Romania. Thank you!
