Life in haiti, it is a different way. Everything is a process. Which, I think will be the fact most places I go this year. In America we have a quick way to do everything, time matters but that's not the same everywhere. Here are some things that take longer in Haiti.

Laundry- Laundry is now a process. In fact, I often where my things as long as possible till I have no choice but to clean them. In America I would change often and never wear the samething agian till it was rewashed. Well, here it's not so easy so I don't want to do it as often. To wash clothes in Haiti you fill a bucket up with water. Just to remind you are water isn't often on. So first, we pray for water. Once, you get a bucket full you put some detergant in it and began to hand wash everything. You then wring that stuff out dump that bucket of water. Fill another bucket and rinse your clothes. Then you wring it out agian and hang to dry.

Dishes- Dishes are also a process. We fill up two big pans, one for washing, and one for rinsing. Since, we don't have alot of water we try to do all are dishes in the same water. Which usally works out.

Showers- Showers they don't exist. What we have is bucket showers. You must fill up a bucket of water. Carry it to the bathroom and you use that water to wash and rinse. Sometimes, we do have water in the bathroom which is a blessing so we can fill the bucket in there.

Drinking water- You have to buy drinking water. We carry are empty jugs down the road a good ways to a water store. Pay for new water and get them filled. Then we carry them back home.

This life is different but I love it.  We walk everywhere if it's possible. If not we take tap taps, These are small bus things which we fit as many people as possible in. I would say they should probably only hold fourteen if full but we fit twenty three the other day.

As the days go by I have found we appreciate things so much more. If we have water we praise God if we don't that's ok too. If we find a river it is a blessing. If it rains it is a blessing. Power is a blessing. Finding a coke or chocolate is amazing. I can't even say how thankful I am for babywipes. Anything cold is a blessing. We realize things we take for granted everyday at home and now we are so much more thankful for them.

Anyways, this was just a blog to give you a little look of how it is here. Also so you can see how blessed we are in America. This is just a little bit of my life 🙂
