Dear Friends and Family,
Hello! I hope you are doing well. I’m writing to let you know about some exciting things that have been happening in my life lately. Over the past few months, God has been bringing me closer to Him in ways I have never experienced before. Through many life changes this past year He has been teaching me what it means to TRUST Him in EVERYTHING. He is showing me life is not about chasing after the “American Dream.” Something I thought I needed to do to survive in this world/economy. I feared if I didn’t do life the American way, I wouldn’t amount to anything. He is lifting a lot of that fear out of my heart, and I believe, has brought me into a new season. As I was recently praying for direction, the Lord placed in me a desire to serve him and brought me to a journey called the World Race.
The World Race is a Christian mission trip through a non-profit organization called Adventures in Missions (AIM). It’s an 11 month journey to 11 different countries. Through adventure, ministry, community, self-discovery, and love for people all over the world;World Racers are given the opportunity to act for God’s kingdom around the globe. I am scheduled to leave in September 2013 and will be visiting the people of Puerto Rico, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Thailand, Cambodia, Nepal, India, and the Philippines. My team and I will be partnering with local churches and ministries to preach the Gospel, plant churches, and work in orphanages. We will also minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, teach in classrooms and bring restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
Since entering into this adventure, I am learning more and more that God is trustworthy. I know that He will provide for all of my needs. My hope is that He will use YOU! I am writing to ask if you would consider partnering with me on this journey prayerfully and/or financially. In order to go on the World Race I must raise $15,000. This covers all finances on the field over the next 11 months. My first deadline of $3,500 is due by June. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as monthly donation. If 25 people pledge $50 dollars a month for 12 months, I would have 100 percent of the funds necessary for my trip.
There are two ways you can support me. The first is through mail. I have enclosed a pre-addressed envelope with this letter. I greatly value your prayers throughout this year. If you think of me and my teammates, please pray for us. I am already feeling a need to be covered in prayer and I know that this need will only increase while out on the field. I am so excited to see how God will move in my life and in the lives of others in the coming year.
