Latest fundraising technique= Medical testing, which I've been cracking up at because I didn't even know these things existed, but it's my third day at this place (probably sounds crazy, but I know the person running my little study thing, so I know it's safe+it's pretty good money if I'm being honest…)

Anyways,
It's been kind of cool being in this rat lab-esque place because I have way too much time on my hands- I've gotten to read a lot and talk to some very random people.

The coolest thing happened today- thought I should do some laundry– it's free, I love free stuff… so I put my laundry in and was way confused by the front loading+lots o' buttons, but managed to figure it out.. I was in a semi-stupor of napping, reading, facebooking, eating, and forgot about the laundry. When I had a "that's so Raven" moment and remembered, I kind of panicked that my Rabbie(stuffed animal, yes I brought it)+ Bacon n' Eggs purse were probably stolen or being used as pool table bets, but I got to the laundry room and someone had folded my laundry…

I walked out with my nicely pressed t-shirts and shorts and just kind of blurted in amazement, with a pretty creepy grin I'm sure, to anyone nearby that someone folded my laundry… someone I didn't know, in a medical clinic, totally served me like I should be serving people, whether I know them or not, everyday.

Pretty cool, made me think about how I treat others+ how selfish I am in general. Challenged me to fight to get my mind off of myself- a challenge I will struggle with the entire World Race I'm sure, but a challenge that's worth it because I want to be the one Jesus says, "Well done, good and faithful servant" to- the one that surrenders to let God work through me and my mess of sins, insecurities, selfishness, etc, so I can do things that will matter in eternity and that matter to and for God.

I have a hunch that the person who folded my laundry might be this lady named Bev who commented on the t-shirt I was wearing that has a Bible verse on the back(that I never remember, or even know which one)- She said she loved the verse and that she was reading Revelation… salute Bev, she may have just made my stay at this reality tv show worthy Medical Clinic memorable.
