Wow, how time flies! I’ve been home from the World Race for over 3 months now and figured it was about time I sent an update. These past few months have been so full and I’ve loved reconnecting with many of my friends and supporters to share about the past year. The question that inevitably comes up in every conversation is, “so what are you going to do next?”

I’m not moving to another country this month because my season of month to month mission trips has ended. And I’m not going to make myself at home in Florida because I don’t want to go straight back to what is comfortable and familiar — I know that there is still more.

You see, I began a crazy journey with God 11 months ago and while it seems like it ended in November, it hasn’t. God has more for me and so the journey continues. I like to think of this season as like a semicolon.

A semicolon is used in a sentence where an author could end a thought, they could insert a period and be done without it; but instead they choose to continue the story. The semicolon separates these two closely related clauses.  For me the semicolon represents that what God has done in my life, ministry, and community has been incredible BUT he is not done yet. There is still more. There’s another clause coming in my story and God is the author.

Grammar talk aside, you are probably still wondering, “so what are you going to do next?”  My best answer is that I am going to embrace this transition. I am going to use this pause as a chance to regroup, re-focus, and seek God’s next line in my story.

“Being confident of this, he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 1:6

The question that I can answer for you is “so where are you going to do this?” I’ll be going to Gainesville, Georgia this spring. During my race, I was invited to be a part of The Fellowship, a 6-month leadership and professional development program with Adventures in Missions.  I will spend 25 hours a week working within the Talent Management/Member Care Department and the remaining time will be spent developing leadership skills in Cohort with the other 8 fellows.  I believe that these 6 months will help equip me for the second clause, the part of the sentence where my calling is realized.

To learn more about The Fellowship click here or leave a note in the comments section letting me know that you would like to receive a monthly newsletter from my team of Fellows.

To continue with Adventures in Missions, I need to raise $9,350 to cover living and program expenses. A few of you are already on board and I am so grateful for that.  Would you be willing to take some time to pray about being a part of my support team as this journey continues? You can make one-time or monthly donations by clicking the “Donate” link at the top of this blog.

Thanks for continuing to invest in me and in the work that God is doing through me!
