Burmese Refugees=amazing people.

I absolutely fell in love with the burmese people this month. We have been teaching in
the schools, anywhere from kindergarden to high school age. They have fled their home country to find safety from the persecution they have been facing in Burma/Myanmar. Their villages have been burned, and their families have been killed and tortured.

Yet, even through all the hardships they have faced, they have such a genuine love for
the Lord, even the kids. It is inspiring to hear their hearts, and to see them
thanking God for everything they have, and trusting Him completely to provide what
they need.

They children were so smart, and so eager to learn. It was incredible to see how far
they have come, and and their willingness to do what it takes to make it. Many of them
still miss their country, but know that there is no future for them there. I can’t
imagine how hard that must be to lose your family and have to start over in a new
country and to learn at least one new language, if not more.

God has taught me so much through each of them. The joy they have, their willingness
to serve, and just how loving they are. I know God has huge plans for each one of them. I know that I will get to see them again whether it’s on this earth, or when we are
with our Heavenly Father. They are some of my favorite people in the world, and I am so thankful to have met them. Praise God for what He has done in their lives!
