And thank you for praying about how God may want us to partner in this opportunity to love others and tell them about Jesus.
It is evident in scripture that God has called all people to Himself; and that when He brings you in He sends you back out with the goal of bringing in more. About a month ago when I was still in the process of joining the World Race, the pastor at my home church in Charlotte shared a sermon on the role of evangelism and missions in the life of every believer. To make it short and simple he said there are three options for the believer in terms of their role in mission work: to go, to give, or to disobey. Nice and straight to the point.
As someone raising support, I am not here to badger you or make you feel guilty about supporting me. That's honestly the last thing I want to do. God is teaching me and reminding me that all the resources in the world are His and that He has infinite power and eternal provision to fulfill the promise He made when He said He will give good things to His children (Matt 7:11). I know He will provide what I need.
What I am asking from you is that you would pray. Not just about this trip, but about where God has you and what He is calling you to, whether it is going or giving. And if it's giving then where? Pray God would press a people group, several missionaries, or an organization on your heart. I would love to give recommendations if there are certain ministries or locations that interest you.
