On the world race, we are a people after 4 things.

  1. High Honor
  2. High Preference
  3. High Consideration
  4. High Safety

I'm going to do a quick rundown of what these things are.

1. Respect, loyalty, obedience, listening. How people love, receiving love, grace, serving, sowing into each other's lives. We are all worthy of love; we deserve the honor we get. Using words and actions to portray how much we care for others.
2. Prefering people; placing them over myself. Choosing others first, This also means that people will give me their best things, best foods, which I might not like, but I need to choose them, to prefer them, over myself and eat what they give me, use what they give me. This is High Preference.
3. Giving grace to others, beckoning others to their greatness. Say amen to what God is doing in their lives adn help them to move forward. Perspectives – seeing the person as a whole. Choosing life over right. This is High Consideration.
4. Asking questions, worship, expression, embracing the process! feedback, positive & constructive. being completely and fully ourselves. physical safety. being content with our personality, body time, protecting the heart, pointing each other back to the word, spiritual safety, staying in pairs.

The main thing that has stuck with me is feedback. That might be because we do it every day. Well, mostly every day. For Fuego de Dios, our feedback usually looks like sitting in a circle, focusing on one person at a time and giving them positive & constructive feedback. Positive consists of pointing out things that you apprecaited about them from earlier in the day. Constructive is taking something that someone does that you think they could improve on and spinning it in a positive way that points them to Christ and allows them to grow by offering them real ways to change it, asking myself, how can I help someone?

That's our typical day of feedback. Sometimes we change it up and make it shorter, yesterday we played monopoly. That was interesting. 🙂 It was good, though. A fun way to interact with each other (although sometimes it was a hot mess)! I'm only expecting it to get better the more time we spend as a cohesive group – this month we are all spread out in this ministry and don't get a lot of time to be together as a complete team; I'm looking forward to that changing next month.

Feedback helps me grow. It is something I look forward to every day. I LOVE constructive feedback. It is absolutely my favorite – it's how I grow. I change from it. I try to take the constructive and utilize it to change parts of my personality for the better. I love feedback for the reason that it imparts life, negating and releasing death. Another thing about feedback is that it causes me to check my intent in giving it, both positive and constructive. Am I giving FB just to say something, am I giving it just to receive something back from it, am I giving it out of my negativity, out of my desires, or am I giving it because it's going to build someone up, it's going to edify them. Am I doing it to promote change in someone because it will help them grow as a person or becuase it will benefit me in the long run?
