Oh life!
It's a crazy ride. It's a beautiful ride. It's a little bit turbulent at times (it's a good thing I love turbulence! Seriously!)
Gosh, what faith God requires of us at times. For me, it's at all times.
I love the way God works and how He beautiful molds us into what He wants.
I feel like I'm made of jello and being squeezed into a mold. A very tight mold.
I have a friend, Alyssa, from Denver. Well, she's lovely. And God has done great works in her life.
I feel like he prepared her, at one time in her life, just to share with me and help my faith.
A few years ago, while in college, she "interpreted" some scripture and those interpretations, along with the scripture, has really blessed me, at the perfect time. I'm going to share what she had written. (I'll cite scripture first, and what she wrote after)::
Psalm 62:5-8:: My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him. He is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken. On God my salvation and my glory rest; the rock of my strength, my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times, I people; Pour our your heart before HIm; God is a refuge for us. Selah
:: I made her in such a way, that she would need me. I made her a little more lonesome than she would like to be… Only because I want her to turn to me in her lonliness… Only because I need for her to lean and depend on me… I know her heart, I know if I had not made her like this she would go her own chosen way and forget me… her creator.
Psalm 34:18 :: The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
:: I love her, I have seen her broken heart… and the tears she's cried alone. I have cried with her & had a broken heart, too.
Jeremiah 29:11:: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the lord. "Plans fo rwelfare and nt for calamity, to give you a future and a hope."
:: I have to reshape and remold her… To renew her to what I have planned for her to be. It has not been easy for her or for me.
2 Corinthians 2:14:: But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ & manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.
:: i want her to be conformed to my image… this is the high goal i have set before her, because i love her.
It's a much needed reminder to me that God has great plans for me, and that He's trying to refine me into the beautiful christ-like figure he's designed me to.
