Greetings from across the world!  Currently I am in month four (about to go into month five) on the World Race. The Race has brought me to India, Nepal, Thailand, and now Malaysia.

I have spent about one month in every country. Some of you may be questioning is one month enough to make a difference? From my experiences so far, I say yes! I have learned it is not about quantity it is about quality when it comes to loving others. It is about deeply loving the people around me.  John 15:12-23 “My commandment is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” The past four months I have had the opportunity to leave my life at home and love: one Indian boy, one Nepali family, thirty Nepali orphaned children, one Nepali bible college group, one Thai family, one Thai boy, two Malay families, and nine Malay three year-olds. Although I am only one person, I have made a difference in these countries, even if it was just with a few people. What other deeper loves could there be?

I have lived in orphanages, taught English classes, prayed for the blind, talked to Hindu people, hiked miles in rice fields to talk to four families about Jesus, slept in churches with no power, preached and cried to crowds of people, held new born babies, stayed up late to watch Jesus movies in a different language, told strangers about parts of my life that I have not told my own family, seen people accept Christ, seen people deny Him, been rejected by the Muslim community, embraced by people I now call family, cried at every good-bye that I have had to make, gotten sick too many times from other countries food that I can’t count any more, and had no alone time in one hundred and thirteen days.

Yet, none of these things were hardest part for me. Not even being thousands of miles away from my family. The hardest part of The Race is support raising. The hardest part is humbling myself and asking for people to help support me while I am just saying yes to what God has called me to do. So please know it was not easy to write this blog, but if you can find it in your heart to support me I will not let you down.

It has been a year since I have started support raising for this journey and I still need $4,469.58 by the end of December. If I do not make the deadline by December I will have to go home in January. I know that God’s plan is for me to stay here and not to cut this journey short. I need your help! I am not asking you to clean out your bank account to help me, but could you spare $10? Could you spare $20? At this point every penny counts to help me stay on The World Race.

If you have already invested me thank you from the bottom of my heart! Please continue to pray for me and tell your friends and family about me.

With love,
Amanda Williams
