After spending some time with squad mates working and living in Georgia I am home in Louisiana. It’s been lots of fun being around my niece and two nephews. I love being an aunt and getting to spoil these sweet kids and leave the hard stuff for their parents.
This week is their spring break and on Monday they were watching youtube videos and I could not take it, it was too beautiful outside. I quietly packed up some waters, fruit, and sunscreen, and asked my sister if I could steal the older two and take them for a couple of hours.
I said “We’re going on an adventure!”
I didn’t tell them where we were going or what we were doing but they knew it would be fun! We got in the car and I let them take turns, when I asked ” left or right?” they got to decide.
The “adventure” was a stop at the dollar store for a new toy, some bubbles, sidewalk chalk and then some time at the park. I think they had an idea where we were headed all along. It’s no secret I love taking them to the park, but they played along.
Their directions took us the long way around and gave us a little more time with the windows down and music up, but we made it to the park.
I sat on the bench watching them run and play and make new friends. I was full. I was full of love and happiness, their energy is contagious and being around them you can’t help but smile.
I thought about how it was kind of like this season with God. I am in the driver seat going to G42 and Squad Leading and God gets to pick right or left but God quietly reminded me that it is most definitely the other way around.
He is working for our good, he is in the driver’s seat. He allows us to make decisions, have free will, and even when it is the long way around he makes the best of it. He makes the best of us.
Just like Lance and Brooklyn trusted me on our adventure I have to trust God with my life. When things get turned around or don’t look great I have to know he is working it all out for our good.
I thought I was going to G42 in April, but it turns out he needs me at home a little but longer. With His help and yours I will be going to G42 in July and Squad Leading in January.
It’s not ideal but I can see his hand in it, and I feel his peace. He is gently leading me and loving me through some growth and showing me a Father’s love like I have never seen.
He is a good good father.
For G42 I am still in need of
3,578.07 for the whole 6 months.
THANK you so much for reading, praying, and supporting me in all HE has for me.
