Dear friends and family,
I hope this letter finds you well! I wanted to write to let you in on some new things happening in my life. I have had the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica twice in the last few years. While on these trips, I felt as though I was being called to do ministry, but I was unsure of what that specifically looked like. Since those two trips, I have been keeping my eyes open for different opportunities to travel and be a part of missions. Luckily, I have recently been given an awesome opportunity!
Starting in September, I will be serving as a missionary on a trip called The World Race through the organization Adventures in Missions. I will be leaving for 11 months, visiting 11 different countries all across the world! As a World Racer, it is my goal to develop a broken heart that propels my hands to act for God’s kingdom around the globe. On this trip, my team and I will be given the opportunity to work with different churches and ministries, doing a lot of manual labor, working with orphans, praying for and visiting sick people, and helping those affected by sex trafficking.
I am so excited for this trip! It is going to be an amazing opportunity to learn and grow spiritually. I will learn firsthand what full time ministry looks like around the world, as well as understand how to put the needs of others before my own. I am confident that the Lord will grow me in ways that I never thought possible.
I know that God has a plan through all of this, and that He will bring the provision that I need to make this a reality. I am writing to ask that you would consider being a part of my ministry through prayer and financial support.
Some prayer requests I have are:
1. Courage and peace as I am preparing to go
2. Safety and health for myself and my team
3. That I would develop a sensitivity to the needs of the world.
In order to go, I must raise $15,500 which covers all of my expenses while on the trip. There are other expenses, as well, such as travelers insurance, gear, money to travel to training camp, and vaccinations that I must pay before I leave. I am so excited to see what the next year is going to be like. God is so awesome and I know that He has this in my future for a reason. If I can get 25 people to pledge $50 a month for one year, I would have almost all of the money that I need for my trip. Thank you in advance for your prayers and financial consideration!
